A high profile online mentoring software provider Volunteer Vision and Academics at Risk e.V. cooperated on a free mentoring program for members of AAR. Volunteer vision promotes a diverse and inclusive workforce and in this program academicians are aimed to be supported in their struggle to integrate to the society by finding jobs and promoting language abilities. More than 10,000 academics were dismissed from their jobs with the emergency decrees announced after July 15. Many academics left the country legally or illegally because they could not find the right to live in Turkey. Prof. Dr. Vedat Demir is an exiled academic who is currently the Einstein Guest Researcher at Freie Universität Berlin in Germany. He was a visiting professor at Universität Potsdam in Germany as an Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung – Philipp Schwartz fellow in 2018-2021. He was a professor at Istanbul University in 2010-2016. Dr. Demir received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Marmara University and his Ph.D. from Istanbul University.
