Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) is pleased to announce new programme for incoming researchers: The Ulam Programme.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The objective of The Ulam Programme is to\u00a0help foreign researchers to develop their career by intensifying international mobility as well as will allowng them to establish scientific cooperation with excellent host institutions in Poland.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
A\u00a0proposal may be submitted only by a\u00a0person who holds a\u00a0doctoral degree.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Activities to be carried out during the scholarship may include:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Visits within the programme can last from 6 to 24 months. The Programme provides financing for a\u00a0scholarship covering both the Beneficiary\u2019s allowance costs in relation to their stay at a\u00a0host institution, in an amount of PLN 10,000 a\u00a0month, and a\u00a0mobility allowance.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
In order to submit an application, one shall register an application in the ICT system of the Agency and send electronically the completed application together with the necessary attachments.\u00a0The call for proposals is open from 22nd January to 23rd April 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Stanis\u0142aw Marcin Ulam<\/strong>\u00a0(1909 -1984) was a\u00a0brilliant Polish mathematician who earned a\u00a0PhD from the Polytechnic National University in Lviv in 1933. Prof. Ulam was a\u00a0member of the internationally renowned Lviv School of Mathematics and co-author of the Scottish Book. Just before the breakout of the Second World War, he went to the USA to join the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton.
