The United Nations’ Universal Periodic Review (UPR) report study on member countries is one of the most important steps taken by the Human Rights Council in recent years. Member states can thus explain the measures taken on human rights. Other countries can ask questions and non-governmental organizations can contribute to the discussions. The review takes place in the form of discussion, all UN member states can ask their questions, and an interactive discussion atmosphere is created. The meeting takes about 3 hours for each country. In the final report from the UN, recommendations are made for the country concerned. Non-governmental organizations also submit their reports to the UN in order to contribute to the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) report, which is published every 5 years.<\/div>\n
In this context, as the Academics at Risk Platform, we submitted the following report to the UN in July 2019.<\/div>\n
